Pretoria – A 24-year-outdated health and fitness coach has been arrested soon after driving recklessly, and subsequently assaulting a woman officer of the Johannesburg Metro Law enforcement Division (JMPD) who stopped her immediately after a chase.
On Saturday evening, at all around 10 pm, the patrolling JMPD K9 officer allegedly spotted a Volkswagen Jetta driving recklessly, and at a superior pace, coming from the Rosettenville path travelling in direction of the Johannesburg CBD.
JMPD spokesperson Xolani Fihla reported the Volkswagen driver disregarded crimson targeted visitors lights and practically rammed into the JMPD patrol motor vehicle.

Fihla said as the officer was losing her breath, the irate motorist picked her up, and threw her on to the floor.
“He kicked her in the confront, swearing at her, yelling racial slurs, calling her offensive and derogatory names,” according to the JMPD.
“An e-hailing driver and a lady shopper stopped to assist the officer as they realised that the problem was really significant. They shouted telling the male to go away the officer, and when he observed them, he stated that the officer was the one particular assaulting him. They instructed him that they witnessed every little thing and that he is not the sufferer.”
Fihla stated the 24-12 months-previous when once more picked the officer up, throwing her on to the ground and kicking her once more.

The JMPD explained the 24-year old physical fitness trainer was detained at Johannesburg central SAPS, and charged with tried murder, assault with intent to lead to grievous bodily damage, resisting arrest, and reckless and negligent driving.
“The officer was taken to Milpark Healthcare facility with injuries on her head, encounter, left eye and suitable shoulder sustained from the suspect’s beating and throwing her onto the ground. She was discharged the very same night after getting remedy,” explained Fihla.
“The JMPD management condemns the assault on law enforcement officials, specially female officers. We hope that this arrest will set an example that unwarranted attacks on law enforcement officials and women of all ages will not be tolerated. We want the officer a speedy restoration.”
